This story is set in the 1930s in Guangzhou, revolving around the themes of family feud, military power struggle and spying. Sung Lai Wo (Sunny Chan) was initially an idler in the Tong family and Guangzhou's mayor's second son. He later became the Deputy Mayor. He admired Tong Nga Wun (Sonija Kwok), who is the big sister and head of the Tong family. Meanwhile, So Fei (Raymond Wong), a fallen triad leader, leads a group of lazy brothers. Fei didn’t get along with Lai Wo and Nga Wun initially, but they later mutually supported one another. Nga Wun's sister, Tong Nga Man (Lin Xia Wei) initially pretended to like Fei to annoy her sister, but slowly developed real feelings for him. Then they became a bickering pair.
